TikToker goes viral after “blue” chair taught her she’s colorblind

TikToker im.Krispy has discovered she is color blind after going viral for asking what color her chair is.

On June 7, 2025, Kristin uploaded a video revealing that she had posted her blue chair on Facebook Marketplace to give it to someone who needed it more.

However, after sending another picture to the buyer, they informed the TikToker that the chair is grey, leaving her quite confused in the process.

“Is this chair grey or blue?” she asked in the clip. “I’m giving it away to someone, and I’m sending pictures. I’m like ‘It’s a blue chair’ and they’re like ‘That’s grey,’”

After Kristin showed the chair and her matching couch, fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts about the “blue” furniture. The video has received over 133,000 comments in three days, with nearly all of them stating that the chair is grey.

“It’s not only gray, it’s very freaking gray,” one user commented.

Another said: “Wait, was I just gaslit into expecting even a somewhat blue chair only to see it’s without a doubt gray?”

“Are you color blind by chance?” a third user asked.

TikToker’s chair video leaks to color blind discovery

“I’m gonna do the online color blind test,” Kristin said in a follow-up video. According to the TikToker, she did multiple tests while live-streaming and plans on going to the eye doctor to confirm any results.

After going through the online test, she learned that she may suffer from protan color blindness. The website reads: “You have a stronger deficiency in your red color cone, which means you have a type of red-green color blindness called Protan.”

“Are you guys happy?” she added. “I don’t know if protan matches up to me seeing my grey couch as blue.”

We’ll have to wait to see what her doctor says for the exact answer, but the online test results have Kristin convinced she has some sort of color blindness.

As a result of the viral video series, the woman says Wayfair has offered to help her finally get the blue couch and chair that she thought she had in the first place.
