TikToker Alix Earle forced to halt podcast after Alex Cooper drama and shares ‘bad news’ as fans fear she was ‘silenced’

SUPERSTAR TikToker Alix Earle has been forced to stop podcasting after her fallout with Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper, and fans fear she’s being silenced.

Earle opened up about pressing pause on her mega-popular show Hot Mess, leading Cooper to break her silence on the drama.

On Thursday, Earle, 24, shared a TikTok announcing that she’s going on a podcasting hiatus “for the foreseeable future” and would start sharing vlogs on YouTube instead.

“I kind of can’t get into the details of it all right now, but I’ve loved it so so much, and I’m really proud of what I’ve built with the podcast,” she told horrified fans.

Earle’s followers rushed to the comments to send their support and shared their excitement for the new content.

One person wrote, “Honestly, podcasts are overdone. Vlogs on YouTube are way better.”

And another said, “We love you and can’t wait to watch,”

However, many of the comments were accusations flung at Earle’s former business partner Cooper, who signed the rising start to her brand The Unwell Network in September 2023.

Earle left at the end of February amid fears that the two were beefing, as they rarely interacted with each other on social media.

In January, Earle skipped the Unwell Super Bowl party in New Orleans, even though she was already in town for the game.

After seeing the podcaster’s post Wednesday, fans feared that Cooper was blocking Earle from doing her show out of resentment for leaving the network.

One fan wrote, “Alix are you being silent or silenced?” as another said, “thanks a lot Alex Cooper.”

The rumor mill became so viral that Cooper was forced to respond in her own TikTok to quiet the haters.

In a post shared soon after Earle’s, Cooper wrote, “Hi I see ur comments.

“Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. Idk why she can’t/what’s going on.

“Unwell gave her everything back she owns her IP [intellectual property].”

Cooper ended the note saying she “learned from the best,” and tagged her old boss Dave Portnoy, who helped the media star get into podcasting at Barstool Sports.

LAWSUIT FALLOUT

Earle’s post came days after she settled a lawsuit with Gymshark that claimed the brand unfairly dropped her brand partnership after she signaled support for Israel.

The British sportswear company was going to pay her $1 million to share three TikTok posts promoting the brand, four Instagram posts, a photo shoot, and an appearance at a brand event, the suit claims.

However, the deal was cut short after the company sent a letter stating that Earle had allegedly broken their partnership, The Telegraph reported.

In her filings, Earle said she had shared a post on Instagram that stated, “now and always, we stand with the people of Israel,” before she agreed to work with Gymshark.

The clothing brand paid Early $1 million in a massive settlement after the suit.

It’s unclear whether this legal battle is affecting Earle’s ability to record Hot Mess.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Earle, Cooper, and Gymshark for further information on the drama.

Earle’s announcement came after The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that she has plans to expand her podcast empire with a relationship show.
