David Allen, more known as ToTouchAnEmu online, took to social media to announce the death of his five-week-old daughter Lily Grace.
Allen took to Instagram and TikTok on Sunday, August 5, to announce that his daughter, Lily Grace, had died at midnight on July 27.
The influencer, who has over 10.3 million followers on TikTok, began the video by noting how his first viral TikTok video, which has been viewed over 333 million times, provided him with many great opportunities.
“I met a lot of cool people, celebrities, be on shows, interviews, things like that. It was really neat,” he said.
“But the coolest thing I ever did was welcome my baby, Lily, into this world with my wife, Jessica,” he said. “She was five weeks old about a week ago when she passed away at midnight.”
Lily was born on June 21 and was five weeks old when she died. Allen did not reveal her cause of death.
“I have cried every tear I can possibly cry. I think it’s not easy,” he said. “I don’t wish this on anybody. I don’t even really know what to say.”
Allen explained that he had “waited a week to even mention it because [he] didn’t know how to talk about it.”
He ended the video by saying: “I don’t really know what else to say. I just want to get it out there.
“Just go hug your little one, squeeze them tight for me.”
He also said that if anyone wanted to send something to the family to instead donate money to the Children’s Medical Center Dallas in Lily Grace Allen’s name. He also added an address in his TikTok bio where people could send cards and flowers ahead of the memorial service on August 6.
He received supportive comments on both Instagram and TikTok. One person wrote: “No parent should ever outlive their child. I’m so sorry man.”
Another wrote, “I can’t begin to fathom the range of emotions that you and Jess are going through. This is immensely difficult to hear. May Light Perpetual Shine Upon Her.”
