AN investigation has been launched into Ticketmaster over Oasis concert ticket sales.
More than ten million fans tried to get their hands on reunion gig tickets when they went on sale last Saturday.
Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher last week ended their 15-year feud and announced they would be putting on 17 shows next summer.
Two more dates were then added last night after a mass amount of fans missed out.
As Oasis-lovers waited in whopping queues over the weekend, many tickets doubled in price.
Sales company Ticketmaster had come under fire after upping costs in line with demand.
A watchdog has now launched an investigation into the site.
It comes after the brothers hit out at dynamic pricing and started discussing alternatives.
They told fans in a statement: “Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.”
Both said there were discussions aimed “to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting” but “the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations”.
A source added: “Liam is getting the brunt of the backlash and is being called out by fans.
“Noel and Liam have discussed what’s happened and have asked their teams to see if they can change the Ticketmaster policy.
“They want to look after their fans and get as many to their concerts as they can, for the price they marketed the tickets at.”
