The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will return for Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) family crisis, so she’ll help her daughter cope with Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) mental state.
Now that Chance is in therapy, he’s really struggling with what that entails.
Chance has been bottling up his feelings for quite some time, but now it’s all starting to bubble up to the surface.
Although Chance knows a breakthrough is the goal, he’s also worried about his emotions pouring out.
Chance fears he won’t be able to stop once he releases all his pent-up anger, sadness and anxiety.
There have already been more problems at home since Chance began seeing Dr. Huffman (Jeremiah Jahi).
Abby pushed a little too hard for Chance to hold Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), which led to Chance lashing out at her.
Although Chance apologized, there are probably going to be more outbursts as this therapy process moves along.
Chance anticipates things getting worse before they get better – and he’s likely right about that.
During the week of March 28-April 1, Chance will get some support from Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
It might be beneficial for Chance to open up to a friend about his therapy sessions – just as another way to work through this whole difficult journey.
Abby deserves to lean on someone while Chance tries to heal as well.
They’re working to keep the lines of communication open in their marriage, but Chance and Abby don’t want to burden each other with too many of their own issues.
Ashley has been there for Abby offscreen on a phone call or two lately, but nothing can compare to an in-person visit from Mom!
Thankfully, Eileen Davidson will indeed return for some new Ashley scenes, including some at the Chancellor mansion with Abby.
Ashley’s comeback is also happening during the week of March 28-April 1, so it’s good to know she’ll pay Abby a visit soon to check in and listen.
Of course, there’s the potential for Ashley to be part of Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) storyline later.
Ashley will have some scenes with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) eventually, so they should discuss Jack’s granddaughter, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang).
It’ll be nice to see Ashley in Genoa City again, so don’t miss what’s in store!
