The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) is celebrating a major milestone in the world of soaps. Morrow made his debut on Y&R in 1994 when the show aged Nick up to a teen who returned from boarding school.
Now it’s almost 30 years later and the character of Nick is still a huge part of the canvas.
That certainly warrants a celebration, so Joshua Morrow is getting a special standalone episode that’ll air on Friday, June 21.
In an interview with TV Guide, Morrow opened up about how grateful he is for his job and their decision to honor his contribution to the show.
It’s clear that Morrow’s amazed over his three-decade run and all the wild storylines he’s been part of over the years.
“Just the fact that they would be willing to do something like that made me feel very proud.
It hits you what an incredible ride this has been. I feel like I’m not worth it, like I’m going to wake up and this has all been a dream,” Morrow said.
Morrow also reflected on when he used to play football as a high schooler in Oklahoma.
That teen had no idea that he’d be part of such a significant TV legacy, but Morrow couldn’t be prouder now that’s been on Y&R for 30 years.
Of course, many of us hope to see Morrow on the show for many more years to come!
There are still plenty of stories left to tell involving Nick, so let’s hope he’s got some great material in the works.
For now, the show will focus on taking a look back at Morrow’s 30-year run, so there’ll be tons of flashbacks and character interactions that honor Nick’s history in Genoa City.
Our predictions point to some very memorable Nick moments being highlighted along with some scenes you might’ve forgotten.
It’ll be fun to take a little trip down memory lane and see Nick’s journey.
