The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) finally got some relief from her misery when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) convinced Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to hand her over to the authorities.
Now Jordan is at a maximum-security prison that no one has ever broken out of before, but at least she’s not stuck in Victor’s dungeon anymore!
That was a horrible experience for Jordan, but it turns out Colleen Zenk had a blast filming her character’s cellar imprisonment.
In a new interview with SOD, Zenk opened up about what it was like to work with Eric Braeden more often and admitted all the suffering Jordan endured was fun for her.
Of course, Zenk had to talk about the Brussels sprouts fiasco since that led to a bit of a surprise at the studio.
It turns out Braeden improvised one particular scene that left Zenk, the director and everyone else on set in shock.
“When Victor flung the Brussels sprouts through the bars and they went all over the floor, I didn’t know it was coming — nobody knew it was coming! Eric didn’t discuss it with anybody,” Zenk explained.
Zenk also mentioned that Braeden’s decision to bang the tray on the bars of Jordan’s cell was another act of improvisation.
Since Zenk is such a pro, she was able to react to Braeden’s unexpected acting choices and stay in character.
It became almost like a game between them, so Zenk seemed pleased with how well they both played it and said they had a “grand time together.”
However, it’s worth mentioning that unlike Jordan, Colleen Zenk actually loves Brussels sprouts and began making them with a special recipe over two decades ago for her usual Thanksgiving feast.
