The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that Bryton James (Devon Hamilton-Winters) will ditch his friends in Genoa City and head to Fairmont Crest to appear in the first-ever crossover storyline with Beyond the Gates.
This is all supposed to unfold during the week of July 28-August 1, so let’s talk about it!
BTG just dropped a promo highlighting some current stories fans can look forward to seeing in the next five days.
If you watch the daytime drama, then you know that a major one has centered on the leading lady, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), who used to be a part of a musical trio, the Articulettes.
That is, before the three ladies had a falling out, and Anita branched out into a singles career!
She’d end up ditching music after she met and married Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis); however, she picked it back up when there was interest in an Articulettes reunion.
Anita and her two other backup singers, Tracy Tyler (Maria Howell) and Sharon Winger (Bonita Brisker), are scheduled to return to the stage this week with their big performance, so could Devon’s crossover storyline be about this?
Devon is shown in the final clip of the Beyond the Gates promo, entering the country club, as Anita hops up from her table, and says, “Devon, Welcome to Fairmont Crest,” while Vernon is standing behind her.
Devon is in a suit and could be on official business on behalf of Winters. After all, the company is known for representing artists and producing musical festivals and other concerts.
As of this writing, Devon is in the South of France, as the nightmare in Nice is wrapping up.
He, along with his wife, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), and other GC elites, was invited to Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) summer home for a party, and it was anything but.
After all, from three demises in total, including character regulars like Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) and Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), who were murdered, as well as Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) life-threatening injury and being held hostage with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case); the entire time at Cane’s chateau has been nothing short of horrific.
With that said, all the party guests should be back home in Genoa City very soon, and Devon may jump right into Winters’ work by heading to the Articulettes concert (it’ll be the music event of 2025).
But could he be interested in signing the trio, or potentially just Anita? Only time will tell!
