The Weeknd, born Abel Tesfaye, has a new job as a cat sitter! Along with some help from his Doberman named Caesar, the little kitten was well taken care of according to adorable Instagram snaps captioned, “babysitting 👽.”
The Weeknd Shared Photos Of The Tiny Gray Kitten On Social Media
The sweet, fluffy, little kitten drew in tons of attention on Instagram with the carousel of photos receiving more than 4 million likes and 24,000 comments in just one day. In the four photos shared, the singer‘s followers got to see him snuggling with the kitten, playing video games together and his pup sweetly checking the little cat out.
While many popped into the comment section to make jokes and hilariously ask why he’s still playing a PS4, a few followers commented about the cat sitting cuteness. One follower wrote, “I need a daily dose of Abel kittysitting,” and another added, “So cute, I love a man who loves animals 🥰”
The Weeknd Shares Snaps Of His Pup Caesar On Instagram
The “Blinding Lights” singer, 32, is known for being an animal lover, so cat sitting for a friend comes as no big surprise to his fans. He got his furry bestie Caesar in 2017 following the news of his breakup with girlfriend Selena Gomez, and often posts photo updates of the Doberman Pinscher on Instagram.
In August, he shared a pic of his best buddy captioned with a simple red heart emoji. Many of his followers dropped into the comments to leave birthday wishes, heart emojis and kind words about the handsome pup. “CAESAR IS BEAUTIFUL 😍😍😍,” one follower wrote, and another, who missed seeing pics of the pup said, “finally abel, we missed him.”
Are The Rumors About The Weeknd Buying A Hockey Team True?
When the singer isn’t busy pet sitting, recording new music or performing live shows, he’s allegedly considering buying an ice hockey team along with Ryan Reynolds. During a recent episode of Sportsnet’s “32 Thoughts: The Podcast,” hosts Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman talked about a joke made by Ron MacLean about the possibility of The Weeknd being interested in joining Reynolds in buying the Ottawa Senators.
“I don’t think we’ve heard the end of this when it comes to star power,” Friedman said. “I don’t think Reynolds is the only one.” And while MacLean has not confirmed anything, Friedman said he doesn’t know if the singer’s involvement will happen despite the fact that he has ties to the area.
“But, you know, the one thing about him, he’s from Scarborough. He has some representation that has tie-ins to Ottawa. At least two of his representatives – well, they were born overseas and moved to Canada and have connection to Ottawa. So, you know, we’ll see, Jeff,” Friedman continued. “I don’t know that it’s true, I don’t know that it isn’t. But that rumor is out there.”
