THE View star Whoopi Goldberg has clapped back at critics who threw shade at country music legend Dolly Parton for her latest performance costume.
Dolly donned a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader uniform when she performed during halftime at the Cowboys’ recent game against the Washington Commanders.

During The View’s Hot Topics segment, the morning show moderators discussed the 77-year-old singer-songwriter’s history-making show on Thanksgiving Day.
Whoopi, 68, introduced the topic, revealing that Dolly had caught a lot of flak online for wearing the cheer outfit.
The comedian added that there was a critic who even dared to tell the award-winning songstress to “act her age.”
Whoopi quickly shut down Dolly’s haters, and told anyone who had an issue with the Jolene crooner’s performance outfit to bite the ABC host.
She then pivoted, addressing people who slammed Beyonce’s, 42, 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy for dancing with her mom in Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour.
“Everybody who participated in this [slating Blue Ivy online] should be ashamed of yourself,” Whoopi said.
She added: “You were giving Blue Ivy…grief because she was dancing in her mom’s Renaissance tour, and you had the nerve to say some nasty stuff… shame, shame on ya’ll.”

In June, Whoopi shouted at her co-star Sara Haines, 46, in a heated moment caught on camera.
The TV personality kicked off the episode of the talk show with a clip from the White House claiming that President Joe Biden, 81, is working to protect the community.
Whoopi asked her fellow panelists if they believed the efforts would amount to anything, sparking passion in political strategist Ana Navarro, 51.
The Nicaraguan-American commentator claimed that Republicans are using anti-LGBTQ+ policies to send people out to the polls to vote “out of fear, anger, stress.”
She ranted: “Through the paranoia and stress that drag queens are coming for your children. People, let me tell you this. Drag queens don’t even like children – they don’t tip and they don’t drink!”

Sara then stepped in to add: “Yeah, and people aren’t bringing kids to drag shows. There are drag readings where it’s children’s reading material and they’re reading and entertaining them because drag is a performance art.
“I love a drag show, it doesn’t mean my kids belong there right now. But it’s not because of the drag queens, it’s because of the sexually explicit language and some things. That’s all,” she claimed.
The journalist then shifted the topic of discussion to gender-affirming care, as she claimed the number of minors seeking so-called top surgery is far less than the number of minors getting breast reductions.
Sara slammed pro-lifers who are not supporting those who need the surgery done.
But the comment struck a cord in Whoopi, who quickly interrupted her co-star and the conversation.
“None of this is anybody’s business!” she yelled.
“This is the part that I don’t understand. You are telling me that I don’t know my family. You’re telling me I don’t know my kid.
“I’m telling you, you don’t know my kid. You don’t know what I’m going through. You don’t know what I need and you’re not asking me,” she scathed.
“You’re not helping me. You’re scaring my kids. You’re making them feel like they don’t deserve to be here and they don’t deserve to live.
“This is on your hands. This is what we’re dealing with,” she closed.
