Today, the iconic American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers announced a world tour with an electric group of special guests, including, The Strokes, The Roots, City and Colour, The Mars Volta, Thundercat and more. The tour will be in support of their two albums, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen, which both hit no. 1 and saw the return of guitarist John Frusciante and longtime producer Rick Rubin.
Red Hot Chili Peppers will kick off their tour in North America with a performance in Vancouver on March 29 with special guests City and Colour, along with King Princess. From there, they’ll head to Las Vegas for a show on April 1, Minneapolis on April 8, and Syracuse, N.Y., on April 14. After a short break, they’ll pick things up on the West Coast with sets in San Diego on May 12, Phoenix, Ariz. on May 14, and San Antonio on May 17. To round out their dates in North America, they’ll headline Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala., on May 19 before one final show in Houston on May 25. While performing in North America, they’ll also be joined by aforementioned groups The Strokes and The Mars Volta, along with St. Vincent and Thundercat.
The following month in June, the rock-and-rollers will head to Europe for the summer festival circuit with stops including performances at Pinkpop in the Netherlands on June 18, Tinderbox in Denmark on June 24, Belgium’s Rock Wercther on June 30, I-Days in Italy on July 2, NOS Live in Portugal on July 6, Mad Cool in Spain on July 8 and Les Vielles Charrues in France on July 17. During their non-festival performances across the pond, they’ll welcome Iggy Pop and The Roots, along with King Princess, at select stops.
Currently, the band are closing out a separate world tour with performances in California before heading to New Zealand and Australia for sets with Post Malone.
Tickets for the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ upcoming 2023 world tour are set to go on sale on Friday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. local time.
