The third studio album by The Smile, and their second of 2024, Cutouts, has arrived.
Released today via XL Recordings, Cutouts features 10 new songs by the Radiohead spinoff composed of Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and drummer Tom Skinner. Many of the songs were first premiered live during the trio’s 2021 and 2022 performances, and were then recorded at Oxford and Abbey Road Studios.
Cutouts is the second full-length release by The Smile in 2024, following January’s Wall of Eyes, one of the best albums of 2024 so far. The new album was preceded by a number of singles, including “Don’t Get Me Started,” “Foreign Spies,” and “Zero Sum.”
Now, Cutouts in digital, CD, cassette, and vinyl formats, including standard black vinyl and a limited-edition white pressing. Stream the album on Apple Music below.
The Smile doesn’t have any tour dates on the books, but Thom Yorke does, as he’ll embark on a solo tour to New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Japan this fall (get tickets).
