THE PRICE Is Right host Drew Carey has been slammed by fans for his seemingly annoying habit.
The commotion started when the game show‘s Instagram account shared a brief clip from Wednesday’s episode.
During the Jackpot special, contestant Carlos competed for a chance at a huge prize.
During the Plinko segment, Carlos had to slide a circular chip down the board.
His chip had to lo land in one of the slots at the bottom.
“$100,000! Right in the middle!” the Price is Right host teased.
“$100 grand! Right in the middle! Good luck!”
“Come on baby! Get to the middle! Get to the middle! The middle!” he continued.
“$100,000 in the middle!” Drew repeated as the crowd cheered.
THE COMMENTS
In the comments sections, critics slammed the host for repeating the same phrases over and over again.
“My guy Drew… Do you not know how to express excitement?” one critic mocked.
“Drew really needs to stop saying RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE when Plinko is playing!” another critic trolled.
“Bob Barker did the same ugh. Do they have to keep the audience engaged like that?,” a third person said, mentioning Drew’s late predecessor.
“Plinko on steroids. Lots of laughs. What the hell Drew was that?” a fourth person wrote.
The Whose Line Is It Anyway? alum took over for the late Bob Barker, 99, as the host for Price is Right in 2007.
LOSING WEIGHT
Also during the episode, Drew showed off his weight loss while wearing a pinstriped suit with a polka-dot shirt.
