In the new trailer for The Last Showgirl, Pamela Anderson is introduced as the tragic character Shelly, who must move on from the only life she’s really known. Watch it below.
“The costumes, the sets. We were ambassadors for style and grace,” Anderson says in the trailer, which features a preview of the new original song “Beautiful That Way” by Miley Cyrus. “I can’t imagine my life without it.”
In the official logline, Shelly is described as “a glamorous showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run.” The film also stars Jamie Lee Curtis as a waitress and Shelly’s best friend, Annette.
Directed by Francis Ford Coppola’s granddaughter Gia Coppola, The Last Showgirl was written by Kate Gersten (The Good Place, Mozart in the Jungle). Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, and Billie Lourd round out the cast.
The Last Showgirl will have a limited release in Los Angeles on December 13th before opening in theaters nationwide on January 10th, 2025.
