It’s hard to believe it’s really happening, but it is. After fans spent years hoping/desperately trying to manifest it into existence, Marvel’s first family is about to join the MCU. Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm will make their mark on the world’s biggest cinematic franchise in The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 25, 2025. Knowing their arrival is imminent is all the hype superhero fans need. But that hasn’t stopped Marvel Studios from releasing a series of fantastic trailers for the movie. And the film’s final one is maybe the best yet. It heralds an amazing introduction alongside a very dangerous enemies.
Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are less than one month away from bringing Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing to the MCU. When they arrive they’re also bringing one of their biggest (both literally and figuratively) enemies with them. And that foe is the focus of this Fantastic Four trailer, as Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer heralds the arrival of Ralph Ineson’s Galactus. Fortunately for this world they have more than just a team of superheroes to protect them. They have a family of them.
That includes another important character from Marvel Comics, one that is much smaller and much more lovable, Reed and Sue’s son Franklin. That little bundle of joy has a big presence in this trailer. Also making a big presense? Thing’s beard. That thing, well, rocks.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps comes from one of TV’s best directors, WandaVision‘s Matt Shakman. The great Michael Giacchino composed the score. It also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.
If you’re super excited for this film it’s because you’re paying attention. After so many misguided (to be polite) attempts to bring the Fantastic Four to theaters, these trailers look like Marvel Studios finally got it right. Soon enough we’ll all find out if they truly heralded the arrival of a great movie.
