The Devon Allman Project Announce New Guest-Heavy LP 'Blues Summit' and Subsequent Tour Featuring Jimmy Hall, Larry McCray and Sierra Green

The Devon Allman Project has announced the forthcoming release of his latest studio endeavor, Blues Summit, from Ruf Records. Arriving this summer, the set hosts guest slots from Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph, Jimmy Hall, Larry McCray, Sierra Green, and others. Some of the previously mentioned musical accompaniment will join the bandleader on the road and in support of the new LP, in August and September.

Today’s announcement serves as an overview of what’s to come as Allman enters the next chapter of his career by further embracing the blues. While the genre has always served as the bedrock for inspiration, this phase of the artist’s career refines his commitment to the craft due in part to his partnership with Ruf Records and label founder, Thomas Ruf.

According to the official press release, “Since [the label’s] inception in 1994, Ruf Records has earned a reputation as one of the premier labels in blues rock, holding a meaningful place in Devon’s musical journey.”

Following the record’s July arrival, Allman will support the set on the road. Joining the bandleader are subsequent LP guests, Hall, McCray, and Green, beginning on August 7 at the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge, La.

The tour will remain in the Southern region through mid-August, before ascending East, for a series of follow-ups ahead of their push West and finally into Colorado in September. Allman’s Blues Summit Tour 2025 will culminate in a close after festival participation at Telluride Blues & Brews, Sept. 12-23 in Telluride, Colo.
