The Dangerous Summer have announced their brand-new album ‘Gravity’, which is set for release June 21 via Rude Records.
To mark the news, the band have shared the forthcoming album’s title track, an anthemic new offering that explores overcoming personal darkness and a sense of navigating the unknown.
‘Gravity’ marks a beautiful way to kickstart the new era, with lead singer AJ Perdomo saying of the track:
“‘Gravity’ almost never happened. It had an old name – ‘The Walls Outside,’ with completely different lyrics.
“A week before the end of the record, I locked myself in my room for 2 and a half days. It was kind of a breaking point in the record, but it turned out to be filled with so much heart, that it ended up as the first single. It really encapsulates the album.
“The lonely journey we spent out in space finding our sound. There were times where I thought that we would never make it back.”
The track arrives with a video created by Perdomo and fellow band members Josh Withenshaw and Christian Zawacki, with additional shooting by Ethan Luck, Danny Zawacki and various artists – have a watch below.
To celebrate the album, Rock Sound have teamed up with the band to produce a world exclusive transparent violet vinyl, limited to just 100 copies.
