The Brobecks have released a trailer for their upcoming documentary film ‘Not Dead Yet’.
The band, which was fronted by iDKHOW‘s Dallon Weekes, recently revealed that they will be reissuing their second album ‘Happiest Nuclear Winter’ and putting the songs on streaming services for the first time.
In addition, this new documentary features interviews with Weekes and his former bandmates Michael Gross, Bryan Szymanski and Matt Glass. It is described as “a feature-length film packed with archival footage documenting the origins of The Brobecks and the making of their first two albums and what’s next”.

‘Happiest Nuclear Winter’ contains the song ‘A Letter’, which was later re-recorded for iDKHOW’s second album ‘Gloom Division’.
Dallon told us about working on that new version of the song as part of his The Album Story interview, saying “I had always imagined this bit where the audience harmonizes and does this sort of choir bit. And when I was playing with The Brobecks, we were never performing for that many people to do it properly. So when the iDKHOW shows that we were playing began to have enough people, I thought that maybe this idea that I’ve had for 10 plus years can finally come to be. So we started doing it and it worked. It was beautiful. And whatever the song had been written about beforehand became less important. The song became more about sharing this moment with the audience. Now, a roomful of strangers, regardless of whatever kind of differences you may have, at least for this moment, right now, we’re going to share this and we’re going to harmonize together and we’re going to work together. And to me, that’s a really beautiful thing. So that’s what I love about it. That’s why we play it, and that’s why I wanted to put it on the record – to give it a proper chance.”
