The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) annual attempt to cut Hope for the Future is upon us, so that’s brought out some strong opinions among fans.
Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) beloved “baby” is once again in jeopardy, so we have to ask: Are you Team Steffy or Team Hope?
Who’s right when it comes to this fashion line showdown?
Steffy claims this she’s doing what’s best for business – and based on the projections that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) has presented, that’s true.
Hope for the Future is struggling, which is something even Hope’s willing to admit.
However, Hope also feels like she deserves more time to turn things around, especially since Steffy is partially to blame for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) leaving her line in a lurch.
Steffy argued that Hope for the Future wouldn’t bounce back without Thomas, but she’s the one who insisted Thomas should cut ties with Hope and take Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) to Paris.
When you look at it that way, you could argue that Steffy sabotaged Hope’s line and is now enjoying the payoff.
Was it part of Steffy’s plan to tank Hope for the Future and finally get rid of it once and for all?
That’s a possibility to consider, but Steffy did insist she’d be singing a different tune if the line were doing well.
Steffy wouldn’t be trying to pull the plug if Hope for the Future were a smashing success, but the fact remains that she caused it to fail by sending Thomas away.
That said, maybe it’s not a good idea to have a fashion line that’s so dependent on one designer, especially since Thomas and Hope have such a messy history.
Besides, it feels like we’ve been hearing about Hope for the Future for too many years now, so perhaps it’s time for some more innovative projects.
Plenty of viewers would like to see something fresh and interesting for a change!
Regardless of who’s right and who’s wrong, the fate of Hope for the Future will land in Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) hands during the week of June 3-7.
Ridge will also decide to give Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) a major power boost at Forrester Creations, so some serious hostility may be brewing with Steffy if Brooke becomes her co-CEO.
