For starters, it’s possible Thomas has come to grips with the end of his relationship with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).
Perhaps when Thomas returns, he’ll be ready to totally put Hope in the rearview mirror – at least from a romantic perspective.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) would certainly be happy about that, but it could be hard for Hope – especially since she’s used to being the object of Thomas’ desire whenever he’s around.
If Thomas starts dating someone new, then Hope may deal with some jealousy and have to figure out what her romantic future looks like without him.
However, it’s equally possible that Thomas’ comeback will bring terrible news for Steffy.
You can bet Steffy will be outraged if Thomas returns and is no longer willing to be manipulated into doing what his sister wants.
It’s easy to imagine Thomas making a grand speech and insisting Hope is the only woman for him.
Thomas might push for a reunion and argue that tying the knot doesn’t matter to him anymore.
Maybe Thomas will reveal an epiphany and make it clear to Hope that he doesn’t need a marriage certificate to tell him that they belong together.
