On Saturday, April 12, The Avett Brothers performed at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. During their time on the famous stage, the ensemble pulled from across their discography, hitting on material from each of their 11 entries, including their latest self-titled batch, which arrived in 2024.
Making up the most relied-upon canon of songs was 2016’s True Sadness–receiving five hits that culminated in “Ain’t No Man,” “I Wish I Was,” “No Hard Feelings,” “Satan Pulls the Strings,” and “Victims of Life.” Also receiving heavy rotation was their 2009 collection, I and Love and You.
Last night’s concert featured a cover of Toby Keith’s “As Good as I Once Was” and Scott Avett’s solo take on “Murder in the City.” On location was photographer Stevo Rood, who shared his shots with Relix.
