There’s good news for fans who have been patiently waiting to see who’ll take home statuettes in all the popular daytime categories. The 50th Annual Daytime Emmys are finally back on now that both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have come to an end.
You may recall that the winners were previously set to be announced at a ceremony back in June, but that didn’t pan out due to the strikes we mentioned.
The event got pushed back while negotiations were going on, but it’s finally ready to move full-speed ahead since deals have been reached.
As for when and where you can catch the live televised ceremony, look for the 50th Annual Daytime Emmys to air on Friday, December 15 at 9:00 p.m. ET/delayed PT on CBS.
This long-awaited event will stream on Paramount+ as well, so there’ll be multiple ways for fans to check it out.
There’ll be plenty of stars on hand to celebrate this special occasion, including Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane on All My Children) since she’s set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for all her accomplishments in the industry.
The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless will all vie for awards in various categories, so soap fans will definitely want to tune in to watch all the victories.
Of course, there’ll be many other winners in exciting categories, so there’ll be a little something for everyone. This grand event will definitely bring a night to remember!
The 50th Annual Daytime Emmys will be held at Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles, so that’ll serve as the backdrop for this festive occasion and all the big wins on the horizon.
It’ll be interesting to see who takes home a statuette this year and who’s left feeling snubbed. There are always a few unpredictable moments and unexpected losses when it comes to a ceremony like this.
Regardless, it’s great to get these rescheduling updates so we can look forward to this December event, which may feel like an early Christmas present considering the timing!
Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner will be serving as hosts, so don’t miss what’s in store.
