Maci, 32, posted an emotional quote to her Instagram Stories this week about suffering from “trauma.”
The message, written on a white background, read, “Part of being a daughter is growing up to find out about your mother’s hidden traumas.
“You realize she never told you half of the horrible things she went through in life.
“The older you get, the more it hits you that you were raised by a superwoman disguised as an ordinary person.”

ON THE ROCKS?
The nod toward trauma came amid ongoing fan speculation that the reality star and her husband Taylor McKinney, 34, are having marriage issues.
Earlier this week, the TV personality shared another cryptic quote on her Instagram.
“Someone once said if you love their children, don’t break their mother,” the 32-year-old posted.
“Their mother is their primary source of strength and emotional support.
“I feel like some of y’all need to see this.”
FAN THEORIES
The message was indeed seen by fans, who flooded a Reddit chat room speculating if it was intended for Taylor.
“Maci hasn’t liked that man in years,” one person concluded, adding, “She’s so bored with him and it’s obvious.”
“She’s prob just had a fight with Taylor,” another guessed.
“It’s almost uncomfortable watching how she is with him, almost like she just tolerates him,” a third summarized.
“It seems like she has cared more about Ryan recently than she does her own husband.”
RYAN’S STRUGGLES
Ryan Edwards is Maci’s ex with whom she shares her 15-year-old son Bentley.
The 36-year-old has been in and out of prison for the last year due to drugs, harassment, and other charges.
In July, Maci confessed she and Taylor’s relationship struggled while dealing with Ryan’s legal issues.
“There’s a lot of temperature checking for [me and my husband, Taylor] because obviously, our past with Ryan has not been the greatest, it has not been easy and [it’s been] really, really bad at times,” the TV star told the Daily Mail.
“I feel pressure because I’m trying to support [my son] Bentley and do the right thing by him, and I’m learning how to even communicate and have a relationship with Ryan at all.
“But then, [Taylor] is my husband, and he has raised Bentley with me, so there’s just a lot of temperature checking that goes on,” Maci added.
She then noted that she was trying to “not forget to check my own temperature and figure out what my boundaries are and what I’m OK with and what I’m comfortable with. It’s been a lot.”
Taylor added his input, “You’re going to see us probably at a better point in a co-parenting relationship than we had been in a long time.”
Maci and her husband’s relationship drama looks like it will play out in the upcoming season of Teen Mom: Family Reunion.
