TEEN Mom star Kailyn Lowry has shared the first photo of her newborn twins after confirming their birth.
On Friday, the Teen Mom 2 alum shared the snap on Instagram while promoting the latest episode of her Barely Famous podcast.

In the pic, Kailyn, 31, cradled her babies – a boy and a girl – while sitting in a wheelchair in the hospital.
The twins had wires attached to them as they stayed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for some time after being born five weeks early.
Kailyn opened up about the terrifying experience on Barely Famous with her baby daddy, Elijah Scott, 25.
“They weren’t just there for a couple of days. We were there for a couple of weeks, and we learned so much about the families that are there, and some of them are there for months and months,” the TV personality said on the podcast after noting that she and Elijah couldn’t hold the babies until 24 hours after their birth.

She also revealed how difficult it was to see her daughter – who she referred to as “Baby B” – struggle, as she never went through that with her sons.
“I had never seen a baby in my life not wake up to eat or show signs of hunger,” the mom of seven said.
“She would just sleep through feedings. She never had any feeding cues, and when I tried to feed her, she wouldn’t take a bottle.”
“And that was really difficult because I’m looking at him [Baby A], and I’m seeing he’s in the NICU for some of the same reasons, but also he’s taking a bottle, and he’s having no issue with that. And then she was just sleeping all the time,” the reality star added, choking back tears.

“I cried a lot. I probably cried more with the NICU journey than the c-section stuff.”
SCARY SITUATION
Kailyn and Elijah later shared that their daughter had to stay in the NICU longer than their son, making the situation more stressful.
“We had to travel back and forth, at least once a day, one of us,” Elijah recalled.
“It was an hour drive there and back, and when I was there, I was there for hours. And then we have six other kids. When he was discharged from the NICU, we had him at home.”
Kailyn and Elijah are also parents of a one-year-old son, Rio.
In addition, Kailyn is a mom to a son, Isaac, 14, with her ex-Jo Rivera; a son, Lincoln, 10, with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin; and sons, Lux, six, and Creed, three, with her ex, Chris Lopez.

Kailyn further shared on the podcast that the experience made her so emotional that her doctor asked her if she needed psychological help.
“I said I have my own therapist, but I’m away from my infant, and my infant is away from her twin. And I feel like that in and of itself was enough for me to cry,” the Pennsylvania native said.
“And I know he didn’t mean anything by it; he was covering all his legal bases, but it also felt like a punch in the gut because I felt like it was a normal reaction for me to cry.
“But in the same breath, I get it because I’ve gone through postpartum depression, and so I understand, too, covering all the bases to make sure if someone does need resources… I don’t think it was the way he said it but how he said it,” Kailyn added.
The podcast host then admitted she felt she handled the situation the best she could.
In November, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that the former MTV star gave birth, although she didn’t disclose the news until earlier this month.
Kailyn has since assured fans that she’s not having any more children after getting her tubes tied.
