Tectone got banned from Twitch suddenly on April 26, 2025, with him having no clue why he was barred from the platform. While it’s standard practice for Twitch to give a general reason behind the ban, finding the specific reason can be hard.
For instance, if someone gets banned for violating ToS and harassing someone, it isn’t always clear who they harassed or when they did it in relation to when they got barred from the platform.
And, considering Tectone received the suspension while he was talking through a whole slew of drama involving V-Tuber Sinder, there could have been a number of reasons behind him getting taken off Twitch even if the blanket reason for the ban was stated.
However, Tectone claims he knows exactly why he was banned: Insulting Twitch streamer frogan.
Tectone claims he was banned for insulting frogan
frogan has been in no shortage of Twitch controversy, with her catching a ban in the past for controversial comments. She’s also been a part of other drama like iDubbbz’s Content Cop about H3.
While it isn’t clear exactly what comments he made about frogan on his stream, he says that’s the reason he was banned and didn’t exactly have nice words for here over on Twitter, either.
“Yes, I got banned for 2 weeks for simply calling frogan a fat piece of sh*t. I’m not sorry to be honest and I stand by what I said. However going forward, I’ll do my best to not bring her up again. As me bringing her up only brings her into relevancy and I’d rather let her punishment be her own failure at being a streamer. 2 time rising star award winning streamer btw def not an industry plant,” he stated.
“I do think it’s crazy how I get banned for 2 weeks for calling someone fat and the things you see on a daily hasan or denims stream is 10000x worse and they don’t even get a warning,” Tectone claimed.
It’s worth mentioning that both Hasan and frogan have caught Twitch bans in the past, with frogan getting booted off Twitch for an entire month.
Tectone decided to go live on YouTube to get around the ban, and he got over 12,000 concurrent viewers on the platform with over $5,000 in donations within the first hour he was live. Though he’s been banned on Twitch, he hasn’t struggled to find viewership on other platforms.
