Comedian and reality television star Hannah Berner recently made a joke at the expense of musician Taylor Swift, and lo and behold, Swift’s fans are none too happy about it. Berner made the comments on Netflix’s Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year.
The joke that Hannah Berner made about Taylor Swift tied into alleged United HealthCare CEO shooter Luigi Mangione, and has resulted in Swift’s fans calling her “vile” and “sexist.”
During her Netflix’s Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year set, Berner cracked that Mangione and Travis Kelce have both learned you can become popular with women by “shooting l—- into billionaires.”
“Luigi’s so hot right now. Who knew besides Travis Kelce that you could become so popular with women by shooting l—- into a billionaire?” Berner joked during the special.
The joke didn’t land well with Swifites — which, to be fair, seems to be the case with anything other than uniform and sweeping praise for their pop music messiah — would took to social media to complain about Berner’s crack.

“Not to be too woke but that was wildly inappropriate,” said a viral tweet in response to the joke.
“Sexist and degrading ‘jokes’ towards anyone shouldn’t be normalized but it’s only ‘okay because it’s Taylor Swift’ our society is disgusting,” another apparent Swiftie complained.
“Reducing Taylor to her past relationships is wrong, but doing it in a way that objectifies her is outright vile,” a third said.
Berner, 33 years old, got her start on reality TV on the Bravo show Summer House. Berner has since branched out on her own to become a successful stand-up comedian and podcast host, and had her first Netflix special “We Ride At Dawn” release on the platform back in July.
