Tamannah Bhatia, star of more than 65 films, including Devi, Dharma Durai and Baahubali: The Beginning, is enjoying a day in the Maldives, and she’s clearly enjoying herself while she’s there. Bhatia just posted a brand new photo on Instagram of herself riding a bike with a large trunk in the sand, and another posing on a boardwalk. She wore a pink swimsuit, pink printed cover up, and shorts. She captioned the photo, “Wandering but never lost ☀️.” How does she stay so fit? Bhatia tells DesiMartini.com that fitness is an important part of her life, and that she tries to workout as often as possible. She says that her secret to doing so is that she actually enjoys working out. “You need to always find time to do what makes you happy. Fitness is one of those things. It creates a feel-good aura around you.”
Bhatia tells DesiMartini.com that she makes sure to work out every day, and stays consistent. She says that she feels a lot better after a workout. “I like to work out everyday as far as possible because it’s a good stress buster,” she says. “I can switch off from everything and just focus on myself. Fitness is like brushing your teeth. I like to start my day with a lot of positivity, clean energies and good vibes. Fitness has helped me achieve this.”
For Bhatia, working out is all about variety. She revealed some of her favorite ways to exercise to DesiMartini.com, and she has a lot of go-to workouts. “My fitness regime consists of weights, abs, crunches, cardio, and a series of free hand exercises. I spend at least an hour in the gym, apart from [doing] yoga or swimming in the morning. Sometimes [I also do] Pilates and aerobics.”
Bhatia is a big fan of food, and she says to DesiMartini.com that she doesn’t believe in restricitn herself. She says that she believes in moderation, and that she doesn’t beat herself up if she indulges too much. “I’m a big foodie, everyone at home loves to spoil me silly with quality food,” she says. “I believe in eating everything in moderation and crash diets are a big no-no. I don’t resist eating, because it’s a natural stimulation. In case I consume extra calories, I work out more rigorously at the gym.”
In this video with Midday India, Bhatia revealed that she loves oil pulling as a way to detox. “Oil pulling was definitely a complete game changer,” she explains. “Because oil pulling is something that has worked so well on, in terms of just getting rid of, the daily toxins that we accumulate in our bodies, so I think oil pulling was one thing. I really make this a daily ritual. I do it every day. And I think like something as simple as sitting down on the floor or anything, whenever you have the opportunity.”
