Tallah are one of the finest young heavy bands inciting chaos right now, and their new track further cements that fact.
We’re getting closer and closer to the release of Tallah’s latest crazed creation, and they have shared a taste of it that shows just how special they are.
It’s called ‘For The Recognition’ and is the very definition of a bruiser.
Discordant, dishevelled and dripping utter disdain, it is an absolute fucking behemoth of modern heaviness. It wraps itself around your throat, squeezes and smiles, and it’s so good that you will allow them to do it.
It further cements their place as one of the finest young heavy bands currently planting their flag in the scene, and a huge moment of intense intent.
Max Portnoy had this to say about it:
“When I wrote this song, I made sure the ending pit hit really hard but was simple enough for us to trash our set up live. We took that mindset into the studio as well and smashed tons of lamps, microwaves, vases, etc and put those recordings in the song.”
Here it is:
It’s taken from the band’s upcoming album ‘The Generation Of Danger’, which is going to drop on November 18 via Earache.
The record is a concept album “about a genius scientist who gets fed up with being swept under the run. After the multi-billion-dollar corporation that employs him takes credit for his latest, award-winning invention, he snaps and retaliates against them by forcing them to take part in the greatest experiment the world of science has ever seen.”
It will also feature ‘The Impressionist’:
‘Shaken (not stirred)’:
And ‘Telescope’:
