The first wave of acts have been announced for the return of Takedown Festival, with Kid Bookie, Lake Malice and Dream State set to play the 2025 event.
Takedown Festival 2025 will take place at the Portsmouth Guildhall next year, spanning over two days: April 03 and 04.
After announcing the postponement of the 2024 festival due to the basement development works on the Grade II building, Takedown Festival’s return in 2025 will see Elvana (Elvis fronted Nirvana) headlining the Saturday and Kris Barras Band headlining the Friday.
With Welsh alt-rockers Dream State, two-time MOBO award nominated Kid Bookie, and fast-rising goth-punks The Nightmares amongst the first wave of artists announced for the event, the two-day festival will also see appearances from Acres, Lake Malice, InVisions, URNE, Fort Hope, Black Coast, and more.
Tickets for Takedown Festival 2025 will go on sale at 9am Friday August 30 via the festival’s site.
Speaking on the announcement, Kai and Sarah Harris of Takedown Festival have said:
“We are unbelievably happy to be able to share the line up for Takedown Festival 2025. This year has been particularly economically turbulent for everyone and to date this year 60 UK festivals have been cancelled, postponed or lost and we feel incredibly fortunate to be able to return with a line up we are very proud of. We would like to thank our community for the support we have received this year and we hope to see you in the pit!”
