In an episode of their podcast, “Amy & TJ,” Holmes candidly revealed to fans that his relationship with Robach wasn’t always filled with lovey-dovey moments, as they have occasional arguments.

He shared that he maintains a passive stance in such instances, adding that he “checks out” to “work through it.”

“I don’t scream, I don’t yell, and I don’t do anything. I don’t name-call, and I don’t get aggressive. Nothing, but I will check out,” the 46-year-old said on the podcast, per People. “I don’t need you to say ‘I’m sorry.’ I don’t need you to help me. I have to work through it, and I’m trying to get better at doing it quicker.”

Holmes further mentioned that when Robach is at fault, her apologies tend to arrive at least “24 hours late,” which drives him “crazy.”. On the other hand, Robach expressed her preference for him to react rather than retreat into his routine of checking out, a behavior that often persists for up to 48 hours.

“It’s two days, at least,” she said. “I would rather have him yell at me than freeze me out for two days. … I’m like, I don’t know what to say, what to do, what he thinks.”

It’s been a year since the couple’s relationship came to light in a scandalous way. On whether a walk down the aisle would be part of their future, Robach confirmed that “it’s under consideration.”

“We did not enter this relationship for fun or for ‘Let’s see what happens.’ We entered this relationship because we intended on spending our lives together. So whether or not we have some sort of legal, you know, I don’t know, button on it.”

However, they are in no rush to bring that plan to fruition, as their experiences have taught them that marriage is not something to be entered into based on a whim.

“We both have two marriages under our belts, and so it’s not something we’re racing to or rushing towards,” Robach added. “But I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I can say that. It’s on the table. It’s on the table.”

Holmes then added comically that he wants to get married to Robach because he is sick of “introducing a 50-year-old woman as my girlfriend. ”

It comes weeks after Page Six reported that Robach and Holmes were “angry” about their ex’s relationship coming to light just when they debuted their eponymous podcast. Holmes was previously married to Marilee Fiebig, while Robach was married to Andrew Shue.

“They must be so angry! [The news] stomped all over their big podcast debut,” said a source, while another claimed that the duo “will have to address the story because they will still want to keep themselves in the news.”

At the time, another insider said Robach “thinks her ex is trying to steal her thunder.” and is “convinced he did this to coincide with the debut of her podcast.”

Robach’s claim was later refuted by a source close to Shue. The insider said that Shue’s “private” persona makes it unlikely that he took revenge on Robach.

How well the podcast will fare over time remains to be seen. Still, in the meantime, Holmes and Robach have used it as a tool to clear up a lot of speculations about their relationship, including one about them beginning their relationship while still married to their exes.

Holmes said, per People, “To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case because the odd thing is, the day those pictures were taken and the day that article was released, we both at that point were in divorce proceedings.”

Robach also shared that they had kept their relationship out of the public to protect their children and families.

She added, “And we thought we had time, and we thought we had a right to privacy, and maybe that was foolish and silly?”
