Sydney Sweeney takes on the forces of evil as a nun in a haunted Italian convent in a new trailer for Neon’s Immaculate.
Slated for a theatrical release on March 22nd, the Michael Mohan-directed horror flick stars Sweeney as Cecilia, a deeply religious woman who soon learns that her new home may not be what it seems after moving into a convent in the Italian countryside.
“God saved me for a reason, but I’m still searching for what that reason is,” Sweeney says in the trailer as her character discovers a miracle pregnancy. Watch the clip below.
Rounding out the cast are Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, and Simona Tabasco. Sweeney, Jonathan Davino, Teddy Schwarzman, and Michael Heimler produced the film, with Christopher Casanova, John Friedberg, and Will Greenfield as executive producers.
Last year, Sweeney starred opposite Glen Powell in the romantic comedy, Anyone But You. Next month, she will appear alongside Dakota Johnson in the Spider-Man spinoff Madame Web.
