At the Capcom Showcase today, ahead of the final June 30, 2022 release date for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, Capcom announced a free demo will arrive on Switch and PC tomorrow, June 14. The demo will include solo and multiplayer content catering to different difficulty levels, much like the free demo that released for the original Monster Hunter Rise. Additionally, Capcom revealed a content roadmap for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, detailing what to expect across the next year.
The first free title update will arrive in August with Lucent Nargacuga and other monsters, plus the Forlorn Arena area. The second free title update will arrive in fall with more rare species and subspecies monsters. “Several monsters” are coming for the third free title update this winter. And content updates will continue into 2023.
The new trailers today shared some extra details, such as that the Jungle area is returning. You can roam the associated ruins and coastline for new and familiar dangers. Also, Espinas has arrived from the Monster Hunter Frontier series as a new monster to face. Watch the videos below for more information about what is coming in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and in its new demo tomorrow. The demo will arrive “shortly after 7pm PDT tomorrow.”
