While the show is going on pause this summer, Deadline says that the series is not canceled, it just hasn’t been greenlit for a third season at this time.
Bossip is reporting that Bravo could really be shaking up the cast and producers are looking for new cast members.
Both Preston and Bria took to social media to react to the news.
“If you are reading this, you’ve likely already heard the unfortunate news from Deadline, #SummerHouseMV has been put on pause until the powers that be figure out what’s in the best interest of the show, the cast, and you, the general public. While this news is undoubtedly disappointing because I deeply believe in the equitable investment in Black people and our content, it is one that oddly brings me a bit of peace to reflect, refocus, and reengage on the things I love. This is… see you soon. 💕,” he wrote in a long post. Read his full comments on the pause on his Instagram!
“Hello everyone, Yes, the rumors are true. Our show, Summer House Martha’s Vineyard, has been put on pause. While it is disappointing to see this happen, we believe it will inspire us to explore new directions in our careers, personal lives, and businesses. #SummerhouseMV,” Bria tweeted, adding, “In the meantime, you can still watch Summer House Martha’s Vineyard on Peacock. Seasons 1 and 2, along with the reunion episodes, are available for streaming. If you haven’t started watching or would like to catch up, please tune in on that platform. #SummerhouseMV”
In a recent Instagram comment, Summer said that she would not be returning to the show after the events of this past season.
Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard isn’t the only Bravo show on pause. Winter House, another Summer House spinoff, did not film a fourth season this year, while Vanderpump Rules was recently announced to be taking a break from filming this summer as well.
Before season two, two stars opted not to return, one not by choice as he was deployed overseas.
