Strongman plays tug of war with a lion in latest MrBeast video

Popular strongman Brian Shaw beat a lion in a game of tug of war in MrBeast’s latest video, where he puts man against animals in various challenges.

As the most subscribed YouTuber on the platform, Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson continues to upload videos showing some of the wildest challenges he can think of.

On Saturday, July 5, he made different guys go up against various types of animals, including a lion, bear, and even a cheetah.

One challenge puts strongman Brian Shaw up against a real-life lion in a game of tug of war – and he’s not the only big name to make it into the video.

Brian Shaw wins tug of war against lion

Shaw, known for his 1,100lb deadlift record and his ability to pull a full-sized airplane, entered a sectioned-off cage with the lion on the other side. Once ready, they both grabbed hold of the rope and began to play the game.

Seconds later, the lion began to twist and turn in its attempt to win the game, but the strongman quickly pulled the rope almost all the way through the gate.

MrBeast then put Darius Clark, the man who holds the world record vertical jump, up against a tiger. The animal made it a staggering 10 feet into the air, while Darius broke his previous record of 12’2″ by jumping one inch higher.

After that, a man collected money while in a ring full of bulls, and another opted to fight a sumo wrestler instead of a full-sized grizzly bear.

To make the video a bit less physical, MrBeast put comedian Trevor Wallace up against the “best painting elephant on the planet” and the two painted a picture together.

In the video’s biggest challenge, however, Donaldson himself suited up and raced a golf cart, mini van, and a Formula E car up against a real-life cheetah. The massive cat beat the first two vehicles, but was no match for the race car.

Shortly after the video was posted, MrBeast asked fellow YouTuber IShowSpeed if he’d ever want to race a cheetah on foot.
