A popular Twitch stream has found himself under fire for making jokes about dead children in Texas floods during a live stream. On Saturday night, Twitch streamer Nmplol, who has 1.2 million followers, was caught on stream joking about the 14 children who died as a result of the devastating floods in Texas.
“They don’t have much to live for anyway… when they grow up, everything’s going to be AI. Everything they learn will be on ChatGPT. There is no future.”

Nmplol would later double down and refused to apologize.
Eventually, Nmplol apologized on social media for his comments.
“Sorry guys, joke went too far. I wasn’t fully aware of the situation. It’s tragic what’s happened. I’ll be more mindful going forward. Hope everyone stays safe and dry in Texas,”
