Barbie the movie really knows what it’s doing when it comes to marketing. It’s Barbie’s world, and we’re all just living in it—especially if our name is Ken. But now we can literally live in it because Barbie is ready to share her world with us, with a little bit of Ken sprinkled in for taste. Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse is now available to rent on Airbnb. It’s time to make some childhood (and adulthood) dreams come true. Let’s go… check it out.
While Barbie is away, the Kens will play. And this time, Ken is playing an Airbnb host. Is he up to the challenge? Well, he is just Ken, but thankfully Barbie has left her marks on everything. Ken has tried to get some Kenergy in, and we’re not complaining, but we’re also glad it’s only here and there. It is Barbie‘s Malibu Dreamhouse we’re trying to rent on Airbnb, after all.

Welcome to my Kendom! While Barbie is away, she has handed over the keys to her Malibu DreamHouse this summer and my room could be yours for the night. I’ve added a few touches to bring some much-needed Kenergy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu DreamHouse. Placed perfectly above the beach with panoramic views, this life-size toy pink mansion is a dream come true!
During your stay, you will have the opportunity to live in technicolor by:
– Taking a spin through my awesome wardrobe to find your best beach fit. Look out Barbie, I’ve got quite the closet too!
– Channeling your inner cowboy and learning a line dance or two on my outdoor disco dance floor or performing a sunset serenade on my guitar
– Challenging your fellow guests to a “beach off” with plenty of sunbathing and chillaxing by the infinity pool
– Taking home a piece of my Kendom with your very own set of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboard
We suppose Barbie is busy promoting her highly-anticipated movie. And we couldn’t expect Barbie to take time away to play host at an Airbnb, even if it’s for her own Dreamhouse. We suppose Ken will have to do.

All kidding aside, this Barbie Dreamhouse looks amazing and we really think it should be a permanent mainstay on Airbnb. There’s a pool, an ocean view, and security cameras on the property. This is good because notably Barbie’s Dreamhouse has no doors or walls. (Although it looks like guests will happily get some curtains. Thanks, Barbie and Ken!) There’s even a life-size plastic horse waiting for you. First horses in The Sims, now horses in Barbie’s Dreamhouse? Dreams really are coming true.
How to Rent Barbie’s Dreamhouse (Ken’s Version)
Airbnb shares that booking for Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse, “opens at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, July 17 for two, one-night stays for up to two guests on July 21 and July 22, 2023.” The listing also stresses that this is not a contest, and guests are responsible for their own travel to Malibu. We guess Barbie couldn’t send the Glamour Jet this time.
