Starbenders Announced As Tour Support For Mothica’s EU And UK Tour

Starbenders have been announced as support for Mothica this September, featuring nights in London, Manchester and Glasgow.

The Atlanta-born band released their ‘Take Back The Night’ album in September via Sumerian Records, and followed that with their first UK headline tour.

Now they’ll be returning to the UK with alt-pop star Mothica, who has an album of her own on the horizon, with ‘Kissing Death’ set to land August 23 via her own Heavy Heart Records imprint, partnering with Rise Records.

The tour will begin in Antwerp on September 16 before dates in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Paris.

From there, the live spectacle will head to the UK’s shores, and is set for nights at London’s The Dome, Manchester’s Deaf Institute and King Tuts in Glasgow.

Describing their latest LP to Rock Sound as part of our ‘Track By Track’ feature, the band explained:

“‘Take Back The Night’ was born in the wake of the band’s most challenging obstacles to date. From life threatening necrotizing bacterial pneumonia to addiction to two years of the world in limbo, it felt like the punches kept coming and coming.

“We made a conscious decision that we were going to practice radical acceptance and stick together no matter what. The frustration and worries we choked down on the daily were transmuted into the compositions and sounds of the new record.

“All the triumph over serious obstacles made the rocket fuel that propelled our most cohesive and aggressive record ever.”
