St. Vincent Announces New Song “DOA” for Death of a Unicorn Soundtrack

St. Vincent has announced that she is releasing a new song as part of the soundtrack for A24’s Death of a Unicorn. “DOA” will be released on March 28th alongside the horror film’s premiere in the United States.

“DOA” is entirely an Annie Clark affair; she wrote, produced, and performed the track, with mixing by Cian Riordan. Meanwhile, Dan Romer and Giosuè Greco composed the film’s score.

Death of a Unicorn stars Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd as a father-daughter duo on a work retreat gone awry after accidentally killing the first known unicorn. When they notify their companions on said work trip (including Will Poulter, Richard E. Grant, Téa Leoni, and Anthony Carrigan), the group seeks to exploit the animal, which they believe will provide them with medical cures. While Ortega tries to persuade them to halt testing, the unicorn’s parents decimate the houseguests in retribution.

Most recently, St. Vincent won three Grammys in February, include Best Alternative Music Album for 2024’s All Born Screaming and performed at two benefit concerts for the LA wildfires: G*ve a F*ck LA and FireAid. Clark is currently on tour supporting All Born Screaming. Look for deals on tickets here.
