Spirtibox‘s Courtney LaPlante joined Megan Thee Stallion on stage at Coachella last night (April 13) for the first ever live performance of their collaboration ‘TYG’.
Taking to the stage for one of the final main stage performances of the festival’s opening weekend, the duo joined forces during the first of Megan Thee Stallion’s two Coachella appearances.
With genre-smashing track ‘TYG’ featured on the rapper’s 2024 album ‘MEGAN: ACT II’, its live debut was as huge as we would have expected.

With ‘TYG’ appearing on the deluxe reissue of Megan Thee Stallion’s third studio album, Spiritbox also released an official remix of the rapper’s track ‘Cobra’ back in 2023.
The band also recently unleashed their highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Tsunami Sea’.
As part of Rock Sound’s Album Story series, Courtney revealed more on the inspiration behind their latest era:
“From the beautiful nature to the isolation, I am really inspired by where we are from, the good and bad… And the fact that we have used the place we have grown up to tell this story of how we feel sometimes. It’s so intertwined with who we are. Everybody feels that way about where they are from, but with us it’s more severe because of how isolated we are where we live. You know what they say, you can take the musician out of the depressing environment, but you can’t take the depressing environment out of the musician.”
