Long jump and triple jump pro Fatima Diame is an incredibly talented athlete from Spain. On her stories on social media, she shares a video of her going through her health and wellness routine, she said “miercoles,” which translates to Wednesday, giving followers a peek into her day-to-day life. Here’s what Diame does to work on her health and wellness goals.
For her birthday, Fatima posted a slideshow of photos of her looking confident and happy. On Instagram, the photos are captioned with “28 🎂💚Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when they see you coming. Slowly is the fastest way to where you want to be. The top of one mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing. Agradecía siempre.”
On a slideshow of photos of her competing, Fatima said, “it’s always good to be back home. We keep going 🤞🏾🤍📸 @juanferngran & @sportmedia.es,” on Instagram, translated to english. She gives it her all when working towards her goals, and appreciates the process.
She knows that having a good support system and incredible friends can leave her feeling fulfilled. “Surround yourself with people who push you when you’re doing well, and lift you up when you’re not so well. 🤍,” she said on Instagram, translated to english, on a photo of her and her friend. According to Highland Springs Clinic, “support systems are critical for anyone to have. Many people think that it is easier to do things alone and that their own health is something only they should be worrying about. This is not the case at all. While it is important to do some things on your own, having a support system that is there for you when things get tough is critical to maintaining your mental and physical health.”
She pays attention to her progress and focuses on moments of improvement. On an Instagram video of her competing, she said “7th place and new PB at the World Indoor championship😍 this is just the perfect end of my first season with Ivan and Alberto 🤍 thank you so much everyone for the support because this just gave me the motivation to keep pushing myself to the best! Can’t wait to see what the outdoor season awaits for me! 💥🥰.”
She faces challenges head on, willing to do what it takes. “New beginnings. ✨The time has come to test myself, a phase of greater maturity to face new challenges such as a change of city and a change of coach. Thank you @ivanpedroso896 and @asuarezbermudez for giving me this opportunity. At all times I am supported by the same people who have supported me throughout this journey with them including my coach Rafa Blanquer who supports me in this new path I am going to take,” she said on Instagram, translated to english.
