Sonic Drive-In has introduced two new crispy chicken wraps, arriving just two days before McDonald’s brings back its popular Snack Wrap.
The new menu items are available now at participating Sonic locations nationwide. The release comes as several fast food chains continue to expand their chicken offerings, particularly with portable, value-friendly options.
Sonic’s wraps are part of the chain’s ongoing effort to offer low-cost menu items, following previous limited-time releases of similar chicken wraps in recent years.
Sonic launches Crispy Tender Wraps
Both wraps are priced at $1.99 as part of Sonic’s “FUN.99” value menu, which also includes items such as a Soft Pretzel Twist, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and various slushes.
The Cheesy Baja Crispy Tender Wrap features a breaded chicken tender inside a flour tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and zesty baja sauce. The Honey Chipotle Crispy Tender Wrap includes the same ingredients but swaps in a honey chipotle aioli.
Sonic previously tested chicken wraps in early 2024, including Hickory BBQ and Cheesy Baja flavors. The company has also introduced queso tender wraps as part of its rotating limited-time menu.
Other fast food chains have recently expanded their chicken selections. McDonald’s Snack Wrap is scheduled to return on July 10. Popeyes launched its own chicken wraps in several flavors earlier this year, and Taco Bell launched its own chicken strip burrito and taco back in June.
