While analyzing a film based on out-of-context clips is never the ideal way to process art, there’s sometimes no denying when something is objectively silly, and that appears to be the case with Francis Ford Coppola’s likely swan song film Megalopolis. After hitting theaters back in September, Megalopolis was recently released on-demand, giving a whole new swath of movie fans access to it and its absurdity.
One film fan on social media was so bowled over by the preposterousness of Megalopolis that they put together a compilation of all of its most insane moments just so “no one ever has to watch it again, and also so that people will believe me when I try to explain how insane it is.”
And, frankly, this person is a hero for their service, as the compilation proves that the discourse around Megalopolis’ insanity somehow managed to undersell just how bats— gonzo the film truly is.

As you can see in the video, a majority of the funniest moments stem from either Aubrey Plaza’s Wow Platinum, Shia LaBeouf’s Clodio Pulcher, or just the generally bizarre tenor and tone that the film operates at, as if its parodical television film.
In addition to Adam Driver in the lead role of Cesar Catilina and the aforementioned duo of Plaza and LaBeouf, Megalopolis also stars Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Talia Shire, Jason Schwartzman, Kathryn Hunter, Grace VanderWaal, Chloe Fineman, James Remar, D. B. Sweeney, and Dustin Hoffman.
Megalopolis is now available to rent or buy from on-demand services via Lionsgate. Check out the official trailer for the film below.
