Slipknot’s Sid Wilson has been released from the hospital after suffering severe burns from a bonfire explosion on his farm.
In a video posted on August 23, the 47-year-old musician, who is married to Kelly Osbourne, assured fans that he would recover despite the severe burns to his face and arms.
Sid Wilson detailed the extent of his injuries and expressed his determination to perform at Slipknot’s upcoming shows.

Sid Wilson Suffers Serious Burns In Farm Explosion
Wilson recently took to Instagram to reveal he had been hospitalized due to severe burns caused by an “explosion” in a bonfire accident on his farm.
The singer, while lying in a hospital bed with an oxygen tube, reassured his fans as he shared his ordeal through a series of videos.
“Hey everybody, I had an explosion in my face,” he said. “I’m okay. I’m gonna be okay. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.”
As medical staff treated his injuries, the 47-year-old musician showed the extent of the damage.
“You can see the phone shaking. That’s ’cause I am holding it and I am shaking. They’re doing some extra X-rays to make sure I didn’t inhale any flames,” Wilson said in the clip.

“You see, I’m singed over there,” he added, pointing out the injuries on his face and arms. “My eyebrows are singed. My mouth is blistered. My arm is pretty bad — both my arms.”
Despite the severity of his injuries, Wilson expressed confidence in his recovery, emphasizing that he would pull through and go to see his fans on tour. He said, “I don’t care what it takes.”

He Was Transferred To New Facility For Burn Treatment
In a follow-up video shared a few hours later, Wilson appeared inside what seemed to be an ambulance with bandages wrapped around his neck.
“The Devil in I” hitmaker explained that he was being transferred “to another facility” equipped with better resources to treat his burns.
“You can see my lips got hit pretty bad,” Wilson noted, showing his swollen lips, which had worsened since his earlier video. “Worst part’s my arms. They’re gonna shave my head, so say goodbye to the long hair. It’s going bye-bye. “

Despite the seriousness of his condition, Wilson remained positive, reassuring fans, “I’m okay. I’m a trooper. Not exactly, but I’m hanging in there pretty good.” He added, “I’m in good hands. I just wanted to come on here and let everybody know that I’m okay. Obviously, if I’m on here talking to you the way I am, it’s not terrible.”

Sid Wilson Has Been Released From The Hospital
In his latest update, Wilson notified his followers that he had been released from the hospital.
The singer shared a close-up image of his face to highlight how severe his injuries were. His face was covered with blisters from the burn accident.
Despite the horrifying accident, Wilson managed to flash a smile to the camera, showing off his gold tooth.
He captioned the image, “On my way home.”
While commenting on the photo, a fan said, “Burns can produce some of the worst pain imaginable. Take care of yourself.”

In the comments, fans sent their well wishes to Wilson, with one writing: “Take some time to rest and have a great recovery, dude. Don’t go back on tour so quickly. We’ll be fine waiting for your return.”
Another humorously added, “I was trying to think of a burn victim joke, but you have been roasted enough. Get well, bro. Hopefully, they take you to Iowa City. The burn people there are really good.”

Sid Wilson Vows To Recover For Slipknot’s Upcoming Tour: ‘This Ain’t Gonna Stop Me’
Wilson addressed fans’ questions about how he sustained the burns. He clarified that the injuries weren’t from “a show” but occurred during a “bonfire” on his farm, where some “leftover” flames reignited.
“I got a little whoosh — fire,” he explained, mentioning that he was “working on the farm” at the time.
Despite the accident, Wilson expressed his determination to recover in time for Slipknot’s upcoming sold-out shows in California on September 13 and 14, saying, “I’ll be in L.A. — this ain’t gonna stop me.”
Slipknot also has scheduled concerts in Oklahoma, Washington, and Indiana in the coming weeks.
Although Wilson is recovering, the band’s website hasn’t indicated whether any shows will be rescheduled. Slipknot is currently set to perform at the Rocklahoma event on September 1.
