Slipknot’s newly released album ‘The End, So Far’ is making waves in the UK, and in a battle for the No.01 spot.
Slipknot have just released their new album ‘The End, So Far’ via Roadrunner Records, and it is a bit of a beast.
A contorting, dark, all-consuming blend of everything that makes the band the legendary force of nature that they are, it’s more the beginning of a new chapter than the end of anything at all for them.
And it is on course to possibly deliver their second No.01 album in a row in the UK.
The record is currently at No.02, just behind the reissue of George Michael’s 1995 album ‘Older’. But, most importantly is only 2500 copies behind the top spot at this time, according to the Official Charts Company.
So we’ve got a little chart battle on.
They previously hit No.01 back in 2019 when they released ‘We Are Not Your Kind’.
It would also be their third No.01 album overall, with ‘Iowa’ hitting the top spot back in 2001.
2014’s ‘5 – The Gray Chapter’ and 2008’s ‘All Hope Is Gone’ both peaked at No.02, whilst 2005’s ‘Vol.03’ peaked at No.05.
Their 1999 debut ‘Slipknot’ was also a Top 40 album, peaking at No.37.
