Sleep Token have achieved their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Even in Arcadia.
The UK act’s fourth LP and major-label debut for RCA shifted 127,000 equivalent album units in the US as of last week, beating out Kali Uchis’ new record Sincerely at No. 2.
Sleep Token’s No. 1 chart position came on the strength of impressive numbers in terms of both sales and streams, with Even in Arcadia having the best-ever streaming week for a hard rock album while simultaneously having the biggest week by units for any rock album in nearly a year, per Billboard. The album moved 127,000 equivalent units, of which 73,500 were pure album sales.

Hard rock music is having a moment in the mainstream, as Sleep Token’s Billboard No. 1 comes just a couple weeks after Ghost did the same with Skeletá. While the former band made major headway on streaming platforms, Ghost reached No. 1 by having the biggest vinyl sales week of any hard rock album in modern history. Someone remind Gene Simmons: Rock ain’t dead.
Meanwhile, Sleep Token will be taking their new album on the road for a US arena tour this fall. Dates kick off September 16th in Duluth, Georgia, and run through October 11th in Los Angeles. Get tickets here.
