Kritika Malik is a very successful singer. She makes sure to hit the gym, and sometimes she does so with her brother. Malik revealed in a recent Instagram video that her brother is her personal trainer, and she shared some of the exercises he has her do. In it, Malik is seen doing deadlifts and squats with weights, and using the leg extension machine. Malik captioned the post, “My brother is the best trainer.”
Using a personal trainer, like Malik does, has a lot of benefits. ACE Fitness states, “Most of us work harder in the presence of others. Having a trainer by your side can provide the encouragement, energy and motivation you need to jumpstart your routine. A trainer can also help you set goals, create a plan to accomplish them and celebrate the day you reach them.”
Malik is seen using weights in her Instagram video. Doing strength training exercises is very beneficial. The Mayo Clinic states, “By stressing your bones, strength training can increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities.”
Malik is seen doing squats with a barbell in the Instagram video. Squats are a great exercise. According to Allina Health, “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”
Malik is also seen using the leg extension machine in her Instagram video. Asphalt Green reports that this is very beneficial. “Leg extensions using this exercise machine work your thighs. In fact, that’s basically the only thing that they work. That’s great if you want to build strength and mass quickly. To get started, slide into a sitting position on the machine from the open side.”
Malik is seen doing deadlifts with a hand weight in her Instagram post. NASM states that these exercises are very beneficial. “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts.”
