Singer-Actor Geordie Brown to Front Foreigner on Their 2025 Canadian Tour

Foreigner have tapped singer-actor Geordie Brown as the frontman for their upcoming 2025 Canadian tour.

Brown notably starred in the Foreigner musical Jukebox Hero, which had its original sold-out run in Toronto in 2019 and is set to return in 2026. The Canadian stage actor will be stepping in for singer Kelly Hansen, who will be absent from the 13-date tour for undisclosed reasons.

The Canadian leg kicks off October 21st in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and runs through November 7th in Kelowna, British Columbia — following the band’s previously announced US shows, with tickets available here.

“I was most impressed by Geordie’s performances of Jukebox Hero — The Musical in Canada,” stated Foreigner’s Mick Jones. “He is not only a consummate vocalist, but a verified Broadway actor to boot. We look forward to welcoming him at our shows on Foreigner’s 2025 Canadian tour.”

It won’t be the first time Brown has shared the stage with the band, having previously performed “Hot Blooded” alongside Foreigner at a show in Halifax in 2019.

“I count myself so fortunate that they’re bringing me along on this next chapter with the musical, and this Canadian tour,” Brown told Billboard. “Right now, I’m most looking forward to our Halifax show, for my hometown crowd.”

Kelly Hanson has been Foreigner’s lead singer since 2005. In recent months, the band has been welcoming original singer Lou Gramm to the stage to sing a few songs in select cities.

The Canadian leg continues Foreigner’s ongoing farewell tour that launched in 2023, and follows the band’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction last year.
