Simu Liu has a new leading lady in his life!
The actor appears to have found love again less than two months after his last relationship with “Senior Year” actress, Jade Bender, ended. The former couple had spent time together partaking in various activities, including turning heads at the 2022 ESPY Awards in July.
Their last public sighting was a date night at the “Bullet Train” premiere in early August. Now, the “Shang-Chi” star is showing off his new babe, Allison Hsu, for all who care to see, and he has got Santa jokes too.
Simu Liu Strikes A Pose With His Girlfriend On The Red Carpet
Over the weekend, Liu took to Instagram to make things social media official with Hsu. The pair looked comfortable in their best ugly Christmas sweaters. While the “Legend of the Ten Rings” actor opted for white chinos, his girlfriend rocked a skimpy gray skirt and knee-length boots.
The couple was all smiles as they posed on the red carpet of the 2022 action comedy “Violent Night” premiere. Liu’s post that was captioned “pictured: two asians in front of santa’s crotch 3,” was met with hundreds of approving comments, including one from actress Olivia Munn, who gushed, “Cuuuuuute [green and red heart emojis].”
Reporter Melody Hahm proved she was miles ahead by coining a couple name for the duo, “Allimu. Silli. Need to workshop these.” One distraught fan exclaimed, “Nooooooooo!!!! Are you officially off the market????” and a second added, “Welp time to change my wallpaper on my Apple Watch but I’m so happy for you.”
A few other female fans wanted to know if Hsu “could fight” for her man. The 26-year-old had gotten a similar reaction when she posted a loved-up photo of her and her beau last month. In the image, the lovebirds — who had attended a BLACKPINK concert — appeared cozy, with Liu wrapping his arm around his new boo, who looked happy as she held him.
Simply captioning the snap with a smiley face, Hsu’s Instagram post received some love from her followers and her man, who wrote, “Omg can’t believe I got a photo with the girl from PopCrave,” in the comments.
One follower claimed it was a “HARD launch,” and another claimed, “Y’all are so cute l’m gonna cry.” A third yelled, “Oh my goddddddddddddddd,” and a fourth noted, “ur happiness radiates
Hsu’s involvement with the “Kim’s Convenience” actor has raised some questions about who she is. Luckily, the answer to that can be found on a Forbes page highlighting her role as a senior manager in the Digital Marketing department of Interscope Records.
In her capacity as manager, Hsu handles social and digital work for industry heavyweights such as Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Holly Humberstone, and Finneas O’Connell, amongst other Interscope talent.
A look through the digital marketing manager’s Instagram feed unveiled snapshots of her from trips all around the globe, a series of photos of her with her family members and close friends, and a handful of snaps of her enjoying herself at music festivals, including Lollapalooza.
She currently has a little over 12,000 followers and celebrates her birthday every August.
The ‘We Were Dreamers’ Author Speaks About His Mental Health
Liu opened up about his breakup from Bender during an interview at the most unlikely place — Dreamforce, a leading tech conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco. The Blast shared that the “One True Loves” star was prompted to speak on the split after the Salesforce executive V.P. Jody Kohner queried him about his mental health.
Kohner’s interest in the conversation was spurned by Liu’s mental health update on social media about starting therapy. She began by asking, “How are you today?” To which the “Asian Bachelorette” actor responded, “I’m OK, I’m OK. I’m learning to prioritize myself; I’m becoming more comfortable with the idea of therapy and support systems.”
The Chinese-born Canadian stuntman then confirmed his separation from Bender, stating, “I’m also going through a breakup. That’s probably also contributing to it, but that’s OK; I’ll be OK.”
The confession was met with a sympathetic response from the audience, which included other Hollywood celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Matthew McConaughey, Laverne Cox, and Jane Goodall.
