Shoppers rejoice as a fizzy version of Sainsbury’s viral ‘chicken wine’ hits the shelves, and it’s ranked 10 out of 10

THERE’S no gatekeeping when it comes to wine –  good wine is there to be shared.

And that’s exactly what this TikToker did when she found a new sparkling version of the famous ‘Chicken Wine’ that recently went viral on social media.

The reason why so many rose lovers are obsessed with La Vieille Ferme, aka “Chicken Wine” is because it infuses the perfect blend of grape, making it an affordable dupe alternative to Whispering Angel Rose wine, which is sold for over double the price. 

This bottle of rose got its viral nickname because of its rooster logo, which not only makes La Vielle Ferme easily identifiable, but perhaps easier to pronounce to, as ‘Chicken Wine’. 

Kirsty Barret took to her TikTok as soon as she found that Sainsbury’s had stocked a new sparkling version of the viral wine, for those who prefer a bit of fizz to their rose. 

The wine connoisseur showcases the new sparkling La Vielle Ferme in her TikTok clip, that gained a whopping 2025 likes from her followers who were eager to find out if the wine was worth the hype. 

“Have you all tried the new fizzy chicken wine yet?” she asked.

“It was a fun find,” she admitted.

Responding to a commenter who said: “It’s just a wine.” 

Kirsty responds in her TikTok which boasts: “No it’s not, it’s fizzy chicken wine.”

The viral sparkling chicken wine is currently on sale in Sainsbury’s for just £8.

Other commenters rushed to share their thoughts.
