Shawn Levy Video Interview On ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ The MCU & More

Oscar controversy Over ‘To Leslie’ Campaign Might Be Overblown – Deadline

As I say when I sat down in mid-May at our PMC studio in New York City to interview Shawn Levy for my Deadline Video Series Behind The Lens, this is one busy man. I caught up with him just as he was in the final stages of post-production for perhaps the summer’s most anticipated film, Deadpool & Wolverine starring two of his past stars Ryan Reynolds (Free Guy) and Hugh Jackman (Real Steel). He spills the beans on that one, working with Marvel and how his film is the ONLY Marvel movie for all of 2024. He also talks about his pride in directing the Emmy-buzzed Netflix limited series, All The Light We Cannot See, and how this extraordinary story changed the way he looks at directing. Plus there is talk of his “dream” project, his own Star Wars movie which he is now developing, and there is also the final season of Stranger Things which is well into production. Plus there is the Olivier winning stage version now running in London.

So much to talk about, and we make this conversation as Shawn Levy takes us ‘behind the lens’ well worth your time. Click on the link above to watch.

Join me every Monday and Friday this Emmy season for a new edition of Behind The Lens.
